Hey guys!
Past few weeks i've been working on this dude and attachments for it. Not a job, just a practice.
Wanna share it with you and hear what you guys thinking of it. Would like to hear any criticism and comments for my future projects.

Made in Blender, Substance, Photoshop.

So we have here FN-SCAR L body, long and short barrels, flashlight, laser sight, two grips, two magazines, one bullet-cartridge, 3 scopes, rail extender and bipod stand. And 3 camouflage textures, thanks for the SP ;)
Overall polycount is 39k, at average build something around 25k.
Hope you'll like it.

More fancy pictures and marmo/sketchfab viewers available over here https://www.artstation.com/artwork/WlDmQ
Thanks! ;)

I would check you references on the eotech. it feels way too boxy on the top corners and maybe a little tall.. you can round that out without adding too much to the overall polycount.

Unfortunately no, I don't like it.

Having modeled a SCAR-L before myself I can tell you one thing: check your references. Everything is way too boxy. The pistol grip is a box, the upper receiver is a box, rear sights are horribly inaccurate (too narrow), front sight is... ugh. I could go on and on, but I don't think that'd be very necessary if I don't provide you photos of the real thing.

http://deicidenbf.thanez.net/ - check this site out, it's absolutely full of references. As you can see there are a lot more curves in the model - the upper receiver curves until it goes narrow, rear sight is a lot wider, etc.

This is my second real model, so "I'm not skilled enough" isn't an excuse. You just need to push it until it looks like the real thing.

Best of luck in your future projects.

Yep, you're right. And eye hole is too boxy too. Thanks!
