Can't find Maya's Mia_Material_x?

Like it says, I can't seem to find it. I heard you need to load the Mayatomr.mll but I can't find that in my list of things when I go to plug-in manager. I do have a fbxMaya.mll that is loaded but not Auto-loaded. Anyone got some help fix here? Thanks!

Don't have a legacy option when i go to assign a new material to my object.

In 2016 Mental Ray is no longer bundled with Maya by default. You need to install it separately. You can find it on Autodesk's website.
