Hey everyone, now I know I have little to no chance of winning the comp, but I am hoping to make this my first portfolio piece :) I really need advice on how to display my work. The tie fighter is just a box so it is pretty hard to show the detail in the middle without loosing the wings. Also, where is the best place to start a portfolio.

Go to art station and start an account there. It's a solid site for a portfolio and most industry artists are familiar with it. Show the detail in the middle of the piece with close-ups, not every shot needs to show everything and it's more important to see how you made the piece and how much work you put in. You can also show wires and texture flats.

No comment on the quality of the piece in the link below or even if it's the best display but showcasing all the work is important over seeing the entire piece over and over in different shots...

Thanks heaps for that man. I thought of using artstation but was afraid it would would be frowned upon to make a portfoio on it. Thanks for those shots too. Time to get to work again.
