Hey guys, currently prepping for my 3rd year university major project. During which I created a lookdev scene for me to use and decided I should give it out for free to say thanks to the CG community for the last few years in assistance for my personal development.
Inside is a simple maya scene with a plain lighting setup to correctly show how your shaders are working, I have also included a few HDR to use. Two of these were created by myself and you can use them however you wish for any project, the other four are from HDRLabs SIBL archive so please don't use these for a profit without seeing their terms and conditions.
Everything you need to know can be found in text files within this folder involving how to use the scene and also any colour information you may need.
For more advanced lighting I would recommend checking out these links:

(All three of the cover images used this scene)

The lips need more volume.
Try to create some microsurface detail like pores and wrinkles. Search for close up skin references.
Try not to show the eyes like that. No relaxed human has that expression. In fact, showing the full iris is a sign of surprise or fear. Always try to semi hide the iris like this (It's more natural):
After finishing the course I will also do a real time model.
