Answered: Can't paint anything inside Quixel Suite 2

Good day, fellow comrades! Here is the trouble i encountered recently. I use photoshop CC2014, i have downloaded a Quixel 2 trial, installed it, threw in a simple mesh, applied some smart materials, tried to draw on a mask and... Failed. No matter the settings, i can't draw on a mesh inside 3do, while editing dynamask.

I'm having the exact same issue. Using PS CS6. I add a smart material to the mesh, click edit dynamask and then I try to paint with show mask checked just to make sure that i could see any color data being added but there are no changes to the mesh. I've changed the paint color and opacity and brush but nothing will allow me to paint on the mesh.

Could you send over a GIF of your screen during the process of painting? A good place for screen-capturing *.GIFs is Gyazo.

The second *.GIF is rather helpful! If you could post that on the Quixel Live Support group with the report you mentioned earlier, we might be able to get this fixed quickly!

I just want to post an update here as well, I have "solved" the issue. Which is really to say I found a working solution. It appears that there is an issue with FBX painting. OBJ works fine once you've made sure that you don't have any mesh groups being exported. So I hope this helps someone with the same issue.
