Hey guys, this is a thread for my Firesight brief. In this case I'm creating a ship, it has to be 6 2k textures / 3 4k textures and so and 60k polys limit.
This is where I am so far. Engine to add and minor details. Like joints and so on.
Woke up this morning and realised I don't like the ship I created, so scrapped it lol. This is what I started today and I'm happier with it, I have more details to put in, air scoops, pipes and the back shell is incomplete atm. But just thought I'd post some progress.
Something makes me think that the primary shape is a bit too broken up, but that is extremely subjective and probably just down to my personal taste. Keep up the good work!

Thanks a lot for having a look. I wondered whether the edges were too sharp so thanks for confirming I'll do a softening pass before I begin baking. Thanks a lot for the link, its very useful as I struggled in the early stages when it came to design aesthetics. I'll definitely go through the rest of the website too. This was my attempt at panelling and I was trying to make it complex to push my skills so I probably went overboard. I'll see if I have time to reduce the panelling but if not I'll definitely have Big, Medium, Small in mind for future projects. Thanks!
