Lego Digital Designer 4.0

Lego, the Danish brick makers, have released version 4.0 of their Lego Digital Designer tool for free. This is tool that lets you design Lego objects using their official catalog of parts. They have a great selection of intro tutorials and how-to's for this. This has got some great support, rendering and even supports the different Lego product lines too. This should make the Minecrafters a wee bit jealous.

Also, if this is the program I'm thinking of, it tells you how much your model costs and you have the option of ordering it direct from Lego, complete with picture on the box.

Great, another update! It has been not so long since version 3. I wonder what's the changelog... They only said this:
- New Look
- Online Welcome screen
- Improved Rendering
- Flex Tool
- ...And much more!

And... What's that Havok logo in their page? :O

This software is really great. You can build almost everything you think about. And yes, you can have your model shipped in a custom box!

@Mr_Drayton - They probably use some sort of physics made by Havok in it or so im assuming.

Strange, I never seen physical simulations in older versions... I'm going to try this one now.

Beautiful! I guess the Havok Engine manages the new Flex tool, wich you can use to bend those chain blocks!
The software runs fine even on Asus EEEpc 1005PE, but rendering is disabled.
