There's been a lot shared in the Polycount Forum this week and last. Both art & discussions have been on the up in the last week so lets get to it.
oXYnary, a long time member of Polycount, has a discussion happening about whether or not for-profit schools can be condoned, especially around Polycount. And while we're not ready (or prepared) to comment on the matter, many feel that they are.
I feel the college life, the structured environment, the life long friends I made was well worth it to me for 70 grand which in reality is only a year and a half of working in the industry. Yes I think these schools are WAY over priced and there mainly out for the money which wasnt some big surprise to me.
If you've 2 cents to put on the table about the matter, which I am sure a lot of you will, feel free to drop them in the thread linked above.
Still a work-in-progress, GoSsS' heliplane art is coming along nicely. A great example of highpoly-to-lowpoly construction and baking, this asset has now moved on to texturing where he's asking the community for their opinion on different colour variations. Head on in and have a look.
Loraine Howard iii hit up the P&P section this week with his take on Street Fighter's Balrog. Oh you're a fan of Street Fighter are ya? Well then, what are you waiting for?
Here's a few tasty morsels from our WAYWO thread.
Check out Dub FX busking on the streets of London Bristol. Even if you don't like beat-boxing I'd recommend you stick this one out. It won't disappoint!
