Hi,
Our VR title Private Eye is a Greenlit, noir psychological thriller which is best described as Memento meets Rear Window. Here is a gameplay video from our prototype:

We have just secured a small amount of funding which is allowing the core team - myself Jake (developer), Penelope (writer) & Joff (music) to spend the time turning our prototype into a polished demo that we plan to take onto Kickstarter. We have a small budget available for art, asset creation, mocapping, voice actors and the content we need for the demo. We are just really lacking the art direction.
We are looking for an Art Director to join the core team that will work with us in getting the game to Kickstarter and then, if successful, to work on the game full time. Our ambition is to create a highly cinematic experience that almost blurs the line between a game and a film. I guess the closest thing to it would be something like Heavy Rain.
Not fully sure if Art Director is the correct title but essentially we are looking for someone who:
Becomes a key member of the team, forming part of the creative hub of the game
Helps define and maintain a visual style
Review assets and give feedback to artists
Work with the creative team to define scenes/environments
Layout/Sketch of the scene
The game takes many cues from psychological films (examples The Game (Fincher), Memento, Silence of the Lambs, Seven) so a film lover with an admiration for noir will be a huge benefit. A example mood board we quickly threw together can be viewed here to give you a little idea of the look we are inspired by:

We see your input into the visual style of the game at this time as crucial to the success of the Kickstarter and being able to create an impactful game. That's why we're looking for someone with the vision to become part of the core creative team, and would, like us, be working for the most part out of a passion to see this to Kickstarter. You would thus receive a % in any game sales and a full wage post KS, although all of us will be taking a relatively low wage in order to see the project through. We believe everyone should be rewarded and would try to do this as much as possible and we can discuss this in more detail if you are interested. We really want a team member, a partnership with a shared vision.
We hope you share our feeling of the potential of Private Eye and would like to help us create one of the defining experiences of early VR.
