Hi Everyone, I am currently working on a personal 2D game project and looking for any feedback about the art I can get.
Currently I have squared away most of the scripting (fingers crossed) and moving onto doing the art.
Here is how it currently looks like.

    I like the 40s cartoon look!
    Perhaps do more research in that direction. The backgrounds tended to be cleaner, having distinct shapes and thus helping the scene.
    It's hard to give you any constructive feedback without knowing what your game will be about and what purpose the backgrounds will have. Will you walk through them from left to right? Do they parallax? Is it a storygame with at least 2 characters conversing?
    Have you ever asked yourself the question 'What will the backgrounds have to do?'

    I like the general idea. Have you thought about using extremely sparse, but vivid color, as part of the art direction? Almost like a 40s cartoon meets Sin City?
