cool design and good color scheme. I'd like a little ground shadow and I think the lighting overall could be considered more carefully. great energy and shape. keep em coming.
I think there are some nice texture, but some parts lack volume. The bandages around her shins look particularly flat. Just think about how they wrap around a conical shape like that.
@lamb yea i still have to slap on a lights/shadows layer on top of the stack to fix few areas, fix levels, contrast etc.. I figured I needed a sexy female for my portfolio so why not a sexy-warrior-ninja-samurai-anime chick? might be a bit over the top but I think it will look good as a handpainted-stylized model
Too much contrast/dodge and burn. you have a lot of completely black areas and a lot of completely white or almost white areas, there is almost no mid tone present.
I would go into levels and substantially reduce the contrast, then decide on 1 or 2 focal points. then let those be the only places for the dark blacks and the light whites.
'Fixed' the contrast.. as for the histogram, Adam was right, checked it with the bg layer on and the result was just like @lotets, however the layer with the character itself was actually using the whole range.. I have pushed the levels too far though, might have something to do with my monitor being at a weird angle heh

Are you going for some retro-style ninja?

As for the image with the histogram, is that taking into account the background? As that may skew the way the histogram appears.
