Unreal Engine 4 grid snap

I am having super hard time getting my models from Max to snap properly.

I modeled seven pieces of a steel bridge. Some of the pieces snap perfectly, but two stair pieces won't snap in other modes than the smallest snap size 1. This is absolutely driving me nuts.

All of the models are aligned correctly to the corner of the origin, the pivot point appears in perfect place for grid snapping.

OK, but what matters is what they look like in UE4. Are the pivots on every mesh where you expect them to be?

The problem is that the step, and the end of the side beam of the steps doesn't line up wht the floor compared to the grid. I made a paintover to show how they could be lined up, and the it will snap. Basically: the floor's bottom on the start of the stair is on a grid line, so you'll need the last step's bottom to be there too.

I guess I just have to start the whole thing from the scratch. Ahh.

I used stair sizes of 15cm x 30cm. So this might be issue when aligning to grid.
I could use 10cm or 20cm without decimals but those wouldn't look right.
As the this type of railed stairs might be steeper, I might try to jump (lol) to 20cm height. OSHA violation?

I was able to solve the problem; this was exactly it. I was ignoring the grid.
Now all snaps perfectly!
