Hey all,
I've been working on a low poly bus model for a couple of weeks and decided I'd post my progress here. It's loosely inspired by the bus in the 2003 game The Sims Bustin' Out. I've set myself a limit 5000 tris. I'm using Maya, Photoshop and eventually UE4 to render.
Some reference images and research:
The Sims Bustin' Out bus. It was very difficult to find a decent picture of it online. I've got the game on PS2 and play it every so often.
Side profiles. Used these to help decide on the scale, dimensions etc.

That's all for reference images, here's some pics of my work:
Here's how the bus looked after one day's work:
After 2 days work:
The modelling took 2 days and I'm now in process of UV mapping it. As you can see from the wireframe, I've cleaned the model up to eliminate non-planar faces and 5 sides shapes:
Soon I'll be able to bake a normal map and texture the bus. More pics to come soon. All feedback is appreciated. I'm particularly interested in feedback on my UV mapping skills.
Thanks for reading!
