@Gannon@riceart@Fenyce Some of you are asking me about the method that I used to paint the stones, I don't started from a sculpt, to make the paint, I used photoshop only. It was painted in the proper view, there is no backside model and I did not use alpha to make the silhouette, I just added some vertexes in the termination of the mesh to create the silhouette, worked well, I think. I decided to do it this way because it give me more control about the elements, once the camera will not turn around, but I don't want a 2d look for this scene, in case of stones was really necessary to reach the appearance that I wanted.
@r4ptur3 thanks man, no problem! @Tectonic Thanks @ohnomelon Thanks for the comment, if you saying about the texture of the grass with stones, yes it is, that texture is not finished, bu I will fix that like I did with the other textures. @lotet Thank you!
Hey guys @Dragonar@wirrexx I can do tutorials about my painting and workflow, I just need to find time to do it, thanks for the interest
@Fenyce Np, yeah, those games use this, not exactly as i did, but is the same idea. @< Ash > Thank you @Khangaroo Thank you @POFFINGTON haha ok, thank you @Anuxinamoon thank you @Nini The textures are 1024x1024, I did not show them yet because they are messy, but I will show when I finish. What do you mean with ps2 texture? I don't know. @Cremuss thank you
@Poinball Thank you very much man, I'm glad you like my stuff @foreverlost Thanks! The next will come very soon @StandingMonkey Hey, yes, there is one grass and one ground and some variation that I can blend on the terrain. thanks for liking! @pixelpatron haha thanks man, I liked those tv series btw... @razielhenzo tenho sim cara, apesar de n
This time, there is no new elements, just some blockouts. Everything is in the proper place now. Also there is a BG (WIP), I want to do it much better than that.
A lumberjack will build this house with the local trees, he lives in this peaceful place ( I don't know his name). let's see what he going to do
This is pretty darn awesome, love the style! On thing that cought my eye, if I may, is that maybe the foreground/focal area is a little too blended with the background? Maybe try to bring a bit more contrast to it and keep the background more hazy instead
This is really amazing, I love it. It's looking so pretty and the style is really lovely. Well done! I'm looking foward to see more progress!
Maybe you could add some white-ish mushrooms or extra flowers near the stones in the right hand side of the picture. It would add some variation and could make that area even more interesting.
@St4lis Thanks @Fozwroth Yes, I agree with you, actually this BG is a test, I'm not satisfied with this way... I'm trying to improve... I'm not good to paint landscapes haha, thanks for the comment
Hi @Fenyce, I agree with you, maybe some mushrooms will be nice, I like the idea, I will do for the next updates, also, I will improve some textures. @Wells Hey this is good, haha well... I wish you luck on your studies @87roach Hey my friend, I'm glad you like it! Thanks for coming! @Bolovorix Thanks @yewfy Thanks
Hi guys, this time we have a new element done, the mini lumber mill! The lumberjack guy is starting to build his house. I will post more updates through the process, I will not post everything done in the end, the house is big, so I will do it in more than one update.
I hope you like this mini lumber mill, let me know what you think!
These are heavily inspiring works, Im learning to hand paint and use them a lot as reference thanks for it! Is there any chance for tutorial/timelapse on how You painting these textures?
@POINBALL Hi, I'm working as a freelancer and i don't know where I learned to paint haha, just studying and practicing following the artists who I love etc... thanks for liking
Hi @Jonas Ronnegard thanks for coming, I agree with you, I think the config of the junk is setted to not cast shadow, because from far is too small and looks a bit messy with shadow, that is why I turned off, now seen from close I forgot to turn it on again! Thanks for notice.
extremely inspirational work! you are one of my favorite artists now. I am so surprised that you are a self-taught artist. Could you share which artists you were following? Or how you train yourself? just really curious about your art journey. and please keep up updating this page, cannot wait to see more
naw it looks better then diablo. You've inspired me to really push and learn all i can in the little project i'm trying to do in unreal engine. Thank you
Looks really good. Personally I think the overall color of the composition is a bit too dull. It seems like a fog is washing out everything. Take your screenshots and put them in photoshop, and increase the contrast slightly to see what I'm talking about. Just personal thought anyway
**Edit** Went ahead and did it for you (if you don't mind) . Maybe you're aiming for the more early morning foggy feel, but I personally like the color contrast in the 2nd one.

the lumber mill with the environment picture, the tree junk on top of the roof looks a bit out of place , maybe because lack of shadow.
Is there any chance for tutorial/timelapse on how You painting these textures?
Hand painted art is probably my favorite style.
Keep it up
ps: am with the others more process vids or info would be nice to see.
This is amazing.
