Yes. The easiest way is to attach them, and give them a second, non-overlapping uv map. Then You need a copy from the attached thing, and bake from the original thing, to the new copy. You can still offset the direct overlaps while baking.

You need to assign the original maps to the copy that you are baking from, and the baker object should not have it while baking(this last thing is needed only with the normal baking).
