Hi guys,
So I am working on this reach sniper rifle for quite some time now. I am done with the high and low poly, AO and normal baking, and also added extra normal details in Photoshop using NDO.
High poly:
Low poly:
So the problem is i don't really know where to go from now. I try to texture it, but I have no idea what materials the weapon is made of. Do i do the complete albedo first and roughness and metal later or at the same time?
If i want to follow the original concept, is handpainting a requirement?
I would greatly appreciate any feedback on the mesh and also the UV's:
Thanks!

Could you show the concept?
1. Wether you hadpaint it, Or do it with Gloss, Spec, and Normals, or do it PBR, is up to you. Only the halo 1 sniper rifle was hand painted, after then they used normal and specs like most nextgen games.
2. As for materials, halo has always had its unique style, but I guess its pretty much metal, plastic, and painted metal.
3. What programs are you texturing it with, if you're doing with just photoshop, its going to be a bit hard with those uv. If you're doing it Substance painter or another 3d painting tool, then the uv looks fine to me.
Edit: this the concept I think: http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20150320151926/halo/images/thumb/0/00/638px-Reach_concept-SRS99_AM.jpg/638px-638px-Reach_concept-SRS99_AM.jpg
Here's the concept I used:
