Job Description
Our VFX Artist will create beautiful real time visual effects and particle systems for our fantasy RPG, Prodigy. They will work hand-in-hand with our Art Director, Animators and Camera Artists to produce staged and cost-efficient effects that will give life to our characters and enrich our artistic direction.
Responsibilities
Develop real-time visual effects within the defined art direction for a PC/PS4/Xbox One game
Create assets such as textures, models and shaders relevant to VFX production
Work closely with the team to stage and implement effects
Ensure the visual effects meet performance and gameplay expectations
Help set up and maintain the tools and workflows related to VFX production with our Technical Artist
Track and report task completion with the onsite team
Requirements
3+ years as a professional VFX artist or equivalent experience
A portfolio reflecting high-quality real time visual effects and a strong understanding of particle systems in current gen engines
Extensive experience with Unreal Engine
Proficiency with softwares for content production (3DSMax, Maya, Photoshop, etc.)
Ability to model and texture in 3D with specialization in visual and particle effects
Excellent sense of timing, scale, form, color and texture
Skills in post-processing
Basic animation skills
Ability to quickly conceptualize, present and execute ideas
Ability to work remotely and keep a steady motivation and workflow
Ability to remain calm and confident under the pressure of production milestones
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both on a technical and creative basis
Passion for video games and technical challenges
Pluses
Multiple shipped titles as a VFX Artist or equivalent
Experience with outsourcing and remote work
Experience as a VFX Artist on UE4
Experience as a Technical Artist
Experience as a Cinematics/Camera Artist
Experience as an Animator
Experience in scripting (Python, MEL, etc.)
Knowledge of Alienbrain
Knowledge of Mantis
