I've recently gotten a request from an animator from a game company to use one of my models from my portfolio for animation, since he wants to show his animation skills but, lacks decent modelling skills to make a neat character for animations, and set his eyes on one of mine.
What are your stances on this?
I'm not to keen on handing out work, but it would mean some extra coverage of my would that's always welcome. (of course I'd have to set up agreements.)
but still do you folks often give away models/textures for these kinds of situations?

Isn't that's a bit ...... odd ?
Heh... I can see what you mean, they don't have a lot of 3D gigs there atm (featuring characters)mostly semi 2d atm I believe , and he loves to do 3D animations.
I guess it comes down to what you feel comfy with.
Or, your name on their shipped credit list.
If it's brand name studio. If nobody, yeah ask for a license fee (plus royalties if it'll end up in a commercial game).
