Alpha Map and sorting issues

Hi guys,

I've been having issues with one of the mesh I'm currently working on.

When applying an alpha map on my mesh, some parts of it are sorting in front of others. I've been trying to fix this for a couple of days now and can't seem to find the problem.

I first thought it was the alpha map and tried applying a checker on it, instead of the texture. I also tried other file formats but nothing seems to work out.
I also checked the normals of the mesh and everything seems fine...

I'm importing the mesh in UE4 and it's having the same issues there too. So I'm guessing its something about the mesh and not the program I'm using...

Any ideas?
