THE THEME THIS MONTH IS: Spooky Time!

The Competition

The idea of the competition is to create items in a friendly environment with the feedback of other participants to get the best result possible for all.

This month we are wanting to encourage everyone to make something for the the upcoming Halloween season. It might still be summer but the scheduling of these sorts of things happen months in advance. With that in mind, it's time to get your spooky on. Whether it's a set bloody skull armor or a scary sword, we are looking forward to seeing what you scare up by the end of the month.

We want to also introduce an optional second part to the monthly contest for those that want to make something different. Something a little harder than normal: wards. Spooky wards! Now wards do take a little more effort than a hat/sword and we are going to give them a 2 month deadline. The prizes we award for the 2 month contest will be twice what we give out for the monthly

June 1st - June 30th First Spooky item contest

June 1st - July 31st Spooky Ward contest

You might also guess that we'll be making the July item contest something a little spooky as well. If anyone has any specific theming ideas for it, let us know. We all appreciate some fun ideas

edit #1: aight, concept is taken. it's penor for animation, steffen from airborne for modeling and me for the concept and the additional 2d stuff.

Maybe this month should be single spooky items, and then the competition for the next two months after that(July, August), could be spooky sets :P

Great! Can you submit sets/items that you have started working on a while ago or is it new concepts that are required for these comps?

I'd be interest in pairing up with anyone who wants to do this... I had some ideas but a good 2d artist to concept it out would be helpful, living weapons, creepy mouths and tentacles seem to be the "go to" ideas :P

I feel like tons of baby spiders would be ultra creepy on that coyote.

So... We didn't exactly have a lot of interest this month so far.

Should we cancel? Is anyone working on a ward?

I'm happy to make whatever changes that need to be made.

we are working on a ward havent posted an update yet since its basically not much stuff you could show - rough blockout thats getting rigged and animated atm - concept is up there
