Would love some feedback on this female model. Getting to a stand still with her. Still needs hair and the hood finished.
Thanks!!
Hey everyone.
I've been a character artist for the past 4-5 years. I remembered the other day how much I enjoy creating environments and decided to shake the rust off and start creating!
I am also aiming to learn more about UE4 during some of these projects. Please help if you can! I've started out pretty simple so I can figure out a good workflow...I had this concept in my reference folder, unfortunately I am not sure who the artist is, if anyone knows please let me know. THANKS!:)

Here are a few more images of the WIP. I know it isnt a very exciting piece but I would love some feedback as I ease my way back to hard surface stuff. I baked the maps inside of maya using the decimated geo from Zbrush.
Cheers!

Thanks,
One note on the bakes for the box, you are getting some gradients around some of the middle sections. If you were to harden some edges, then that gradient would go away. There may end up being a bit of a seam where the hard edge is, but after it is textured, the seam won't be as noticeable as the gradient itself.
Lemme know if that doesn't make sense. Are both the character and box going to go into the same environment? Or are they separate projects?
Excited to see where you go with all of this
Thanks for the tip on the harden edges, for some reason I always just soften everything....
More updates coming!
Any Crits are more than welcome!!!
Cheers
Small update on the armor textures!!
Thanks!!
Any thoughts on the armor/clothing so far?
Cheers!
Love some advice on how to improve this piece!!.
Cheers!
Cheers.
Started concepting some out in Zbrush but I have no idea what direction to head.
ANy thoughts on where to go??...
for critique I think the upper breast area / skin needs some sculpting details. it feels a bit like just an straight angle slope. either add a sternum or some upper breast detail.
I would say work on the shoulder area on the body sculpt but your covering that area with clothes now so there is no point in putting the work in that area anymore.
on another note, very cool sculpt and design. I'm loving it.
The armor details were pretty easy, just took a lot of time..Here is a quick tutorial on how I made them....
Here is an update on the hair. Still some work to do on it but this is the general idea so far...any thoughts?? She is getting there...
Cheers.
I'm away ion holidays but will be finishing this up when I return! Stay tuned!!
Cheers,
Dave
