I went back to fix the stuff I was unhappy with, i bumped up the normals, and bumped up spec to closer match Agatha armor. Happy with the result and im calling this one done.
so here is a work in progress to what I am doing. It's the basic high poly.Minus details such as the hinge on to of the forehead that connects to the mask to the main helmet. It's going to be part of a set along with my Warhammer. Shape wise I wanted to give this helmet a different look then other Mason helmets. So hopefully it will look authentic and different.
Quick update to the helmet I am making,so far just Diff and normals, but soon ill be finished. The helmet will come with my warhammer as part of a set.
Latest work in progress, somehow no one has made a pole hammer skin but so i figured it would be a good candidate for the next weapon to make. The design of the body is similar to the original, but the head of the hammer I am making bigger, more prominent along with the spear components. Colorwise I am going to go with a dark Mahogany for the wood to provide contrast between the wood and metal.
So here is my latest. A weapon reskin for the Shortsword. The idea to the sword is an evil version of Sting from LOTR. It has a leaf shaped blade and it has a Spider theme to it as well.
So this weekend I got to make more weapons, so I created a weapon skin for the GreatSword. The weapon was inspired by the 2 handed long sword used by the Nazgul, aka the ring wraiths in Lord of the Rings. The sword has a dark steel blade, along with a darker metal for the sword guard and hilt.
So this is my latest addition to the workshop, sadly my productivity has been slowed by something called Rocket League, but I finally finished this shield I started awhile back. But ill be at it again soon and adding a new set to the workshop.
I like that shield a lot,
The painted wood looks great.
Some of the metal edges have little strange shading though, at least on the 1st image with the 3 views.
There is some high contrast and aliasing. Might be the normal map.

Thanks for the feedback Prime8, ill give the normals a closer look when I get the chance and fix issues If I find them, which there may very well be. For the longest time I have been generating my normals and AO in 3dsMax and I recently switched that to XNormal,so it could be some artifact that i accidentally put in.
I just wanted to pop in and say you've been kicking so much ass Oily! Your output is intense but I'm constantly impressed with the level of quality you're nailing!
Thank you very much Jason, I have to say the work you have put up on the workshop has served as motivation to try to raise quality bar on everything I make. Because everything you have made so far has been brilliant.
So this is what I am working on at the moment. Its going to be a billhook model. The original is probably one of the best looking vanilla weapons in the game. So i am going to take a different approach to this weapon. It is going to have a black, ebony wood color for the wooden areas, along with steel blade, which ill decorate with some sort of acid etched flower motif to make it look a little more sturdy and well made.
So far i just finished doing all the normal and AO bakes.
So I had time to do a new helmet before the weekend. Several players expressed desires for more Agatha Helmets, so I created this Bascinet model. This time around I tried to mimic the material of the vanilla, so it will blend in well with the original Agatha Knight armor. What do you guys think?
Quick update to what I am doing, I have had a bit of a break, but Ill still be committing entries to the work shop, but not as often as I did in the past. This Bascinet here,is what I am currently doing. Going to be part of a set once I get the remaining technical issues out of the way and I retouch the weapon it will be coupled with. Tried to keep that pointy look Mason Van helmets have, but a little more dynamic in its shape.
So I added another entry to the workshop. Claymore/Helmet combo. Changed some of the details of my Gallowglass sword, and added a Bascinet to make it a set. There are not many Mason specific Van sets,so I figured it was a good place to add a set.
So i've been trying to ween myself off my Rocket League addiction,so I began to work on this helmet for Agatha knights.
Its inspired by a jousting helmet I found online. The idea is to make a helmet which is visorless and has a sort of robotic look to it. Its a bit of a gamble since the air holes will be made through diffuse and normals, but I am hoping the size of the holes will affect the believably of the helmet. Below is a rnder of the high poly with air holes painted to give you an idea of how it will look.
So I finally finished the helmet and put it up on the workshop. To be honest I had no idea if it would look good, but Im very happy with the final result.

Since its a weapon that is in your face to kill you,I was considering making the helmet a bit creepy and impersonal.
Helmets like these for example.
Thank you, I can say the same for you as well. That archer set you created looks brilliant . Out of curiosity what do you use to bake your AO?
