Hello everybody! I'm working on a model of an old Soviet truck GAZ 53. I haven't done many vehicles before, thus it is a little bit tricky to do such a thing.
What do I have so far:
- 95% complete hi-poly model.
- Low-poly wheels, bumper, and front panel (with GAZ logo) baked form hi-poly.
- Transparent front headlights.
And this how it looks like
I keep tinkering with Zbrush and nDo to add some extra details to the overall image, hence the truck is a bit worn. Currently I have touched only the textured parts with this stuff.
Crits appreciated!

I had very little time this week, so there aren't a lot of changes since then.
Started to work on the cabin, especially making the low poly version. No textures of it for now, just some color.
I hope next week I will have more time.
Added some dirt to the cabin, worked with its material to make it look better. Textured some extra parts. The cabin and the fenders are not done yet, there are still some annoying artifacts and undone parts.
Perhaps even go further and make variants of it, perhaps an off-road style with replacement wheels and storage box on the roof of the cabin etc or even a desert version with spades and jerry cans or something, just a suggestion

BradleyMAdams The exhaust pipe will come later, when I finish the internal-bottom parts. And yes, I am going to use this truck in a scene with some extra details on it.
Since I didn't have enough time dedicated to this project, there are no extras added. Just a simple model. I am currently working on my portfolio, and maybe I will add some extra objects later. But, for now it looks like that:
