Sorry that's it taken this long. New round if invitations are sent out. If you haven't received yours I probably missed it in the big pile of emails i built up over the break. If so, let me know or just send in a new application.
Also, reminder. The reason we ask for your polycount name is to check if you are legit or just a spammer/phisher. So if I look you up and you have 0 posts and no portfolio I'm not gonna send an invite. It's impossible for me to know if you are just a lurker, or a bot.
If you've sent an application and haven't received an invite yet it's highly likely that I missed it among all the other emails. I had to be best man at a wedding, and I had to move out of the US, so I have been pretty busy the last several weeks. Let me know here, over PM, or just submit a new application.
Applied, I'm a giant noob and new to this community in general but modeling/sculpting has been an interest of mine to pursue. I also happen to work in the game industry as an UI artist so hope that helps
Anyone know if you can have two slack accounts running concurrently? I'd like to join in, but probably not with my work account which I have up all the time.
Yeah you can, the dropdown in your slack's name above your username allows you to switch teams. (bonus: slack windows app notifies you of everything at once ) Anyway, just sent out a request. Don't know how I missed a polycount slack
PM me your details and I'll take a look! I started helping out with invitations last week, but I can't look at anything from before then. Things can slip through the cracks if everyone's busy, so if it takes a long time you can also just try again.
edit: I should add that having only 1 post on Polycount (and that post being 'hello' to get around the posting limitations) isn't enough for us to clear you as a spambot, so you're unlikely to get in.
So lately invites have taken foreeeeever. And I'm sorry about that. The reason is that I have been extremely busy with crunch, and immediately following that I got sick. I've sent out all of the pending invites, and hopefully I didn't miss any.
But on the plus side, this has prompted us to change the invite system! Previously the typeform would just send me an email with the application. But the problem with that is that it put too much responsibility on one person to never make a mistake or get occupied. We added more admins, but since it was just sending out emails the other admins had no way of knowing who has already been invited.
I've decided to make the switch to Google Forms which lets the applications be fed into a spreadsheet we can all access. This should get rid of the risk of applications being lost, and allows the task to easily be sourced out to multiple admins which should speed things up.
The post before you mentions that you should try again with the new system if it didn't work before, did you do that already? If that's the case, definitely let me know because then our new system isn't working.

The new application form lives here: http://goo.gl/forms/Iw3kDU42la
If you still haven't received your invitation please try again with this new one. We promise we'll get it right this time.
Thanks for your patience.
