So in this thread i'll try to put up my Hand painted textures and i'm more than happy if you guys would shout and kick at me to improve!

Would you maybe take your time to give me an example on how to improve on it?
for example where should i put more contrast, and yes i would love to have more variations and stills struggling of getting the feel right :P :P haha

Now it looks like fresh vital wood. I also like that the light is coming from the left, it makes the cracks look more interesting and it's easier to work out contoures by hard shadows. Concerning the orange all up to the right and green up to the left plank: If those colours are supposed to be within the wood, I would make them fade more in. Like you did in the middle of it all. The gaps between the single planks I would make look deeper, also the carvings on the right plank. Between the planks in the middle, upper half you did a nice light/shadow work, I think. It really has some depth. I'm curious for more, keep it up!
So cooler colors for shadows and more subtle variations with colors?
