Has anyone successfully run both unity 4 and unity 5 on the same machine? I intalled unity 5 to a new folder but it crashes when I try and run it. Unity 4 still runs.
Yeah, i just installed it to a different location and it works. Have you installed the example projects while installing unity 5? I unchecked them during the installation.
Same here, works fine with 4.6 and 5 installed.
Try holding ALT when launching 5.0 as it might be crashing due to an existing project that its trying to upgrade, this will allow you to create a fresh project.
Yep, I never bothered uninstalling 4.6. They live together on my hard drive just fine. I wanted them both around for testing purposes.
Also, it's worth noting that I haven't been importing any of my existing projects into Unity 5. I've just been creating new projects, and transferring the content over.
