Need Help With Zbrush & WIP!

Nyello Polycount!, to start off i'm fairly new to ZBrush(few days old), i'm currently working on a little character guy thingybobber and im kind of baffled on how to do these floraly/flamey bits! , any tips/advice would be greatly appreciated!

You can use the snake hook brush to pull out the flamey bits, though I'd recommend using that when your model is Dynameshed.

I second the snake hook brush, but also this sort of extraction/polish method might work for any floating geo or shapes that needs to be a bit more worked than snakehook allows.
