great work! I think that skull on the ground could use a bit more love though. It sorta blends into itself and hard to see whats going on in its current state.

I like how you tossed the yellow on the blue rocks, and placed the blue on the yellow skulls. U could try a brighter, sunny-day-sky blue there to fit the local value of the material (which is lighter than the rocks')

The same color treatment is more transparent / gradienty in the earthy example, I'd like to see more "hard splats" thrown around!
