I'm newer to modeling and most of my meshes come out pretty well as I am self taught but have learned quite a bit. with this mesh I am working on I am having an issue where I am getting black areas or spots along the edge of my mesh. I actually have not really learned how to retopo so the mesh was only decimated in zbrush and brought into maya, softened the edge normals and then UV unwrapped in 3dcoat. This black area also shows up in unreal engine through the textures. It is showing up close to the UV seams and in some spots along them. the seam is on the bottom edge of the mushroom cap, not on the top edge. I am trying to find out why and how to fix this. My thoughts were the UVs or geometry being too low poly in this area.
