Grow Home ("Experimental" game - Ubi Reflections)

Just wanted to pimp this game made by a small team here at Reflections. Released today!

I didn't work on it but it was great watching it "grow" as it was developed. Its an awesome little "experimental" game, with some nice mechanics and a great art style.

I saw the trailer a few days ago - it's neat, but I couldn't work out what the gameplay entailed - can you elaborate on it?

The gameplay mostly centers around growing a huge magical plant. To do this you need to climb the plant and make it grow by directing parts of the plant toward magical energy giving "rocks".

The core of the game is the climbing mechanic. Using the shoulder buttons of the control pad to place the hands of the robot. Left shoulder button places his left hand, right shoulder button his right hand. Its very cool and when you get the hang of it you can become quite a "ninja", jumping and climbing about the plant with ease.

I love that janky physics/IK character controller; makes the game look fun just from running around and climbing stuff!

It's a cool little game and worth the price, I just wish you guys went full throttle with it. It seems like there's so many other places you could take an idea like this.
