Here come two lovely moodboards for our upcoming scene. We tried to figure out what kind of style and render we wanted to use for our Throne Room, while managing to stick to our main inspiration image shown in the previous post.
Here comes a concept art to set the overall ambiance and structure up. We also got a story to get along with the scene.

Many years ago, the Dark King wanted to rule over the world. He asked his councillors for an idea. And they came with this one : controlling the Sun to sink the world into an eternal darkness ! (Comes pretty handy when you are a Dark King) The King was amazed and decided to make a laboratory out of his throne room. They started their experimentations but something went wrong and the sun suddently stopped... Many years has passed since this incident. Nobody heard about the Dark King and his servants, they probably died, dried and burnt by this eternal sun. Nobody, either, dared to enter the Dark Fortress. But the mecanisms are still here, waiting...
Still, there are many elements to tweak such as putting the facades on the background rather than in the room itself to create a nice parallax effect or giving a more destroyed look to the overall scene. But the main elements are here
Here's a little glimpse at what's going on with our Skull Throne. Yadoob modelled the sweet skull door and I'm currently working on the throne's high poly.

Recently, Yadoob tweaked some elements on the room concept and made a first block out of the scene. Here we go!
I worked on a concept for the throne itself (wich looks kinda snobbish...) and tried to define our main materials and colors.
