Hello all!
My theme will use Sci-Fi architecture taking inspiration from Prometheus, alien and halo.
The idea is a throne room inside of the mother ship of the emperor of the whole Andromeda galaxy. The throne will overlook the galaxy out of large windows. The throne itself with have wires and sockets plugged into it that download information on everything that is happening throughout the galaxy to the emperor.
I plan to keep this scene small and VERY detailed. Sci-Fi interior architecture and throne in the foreground with meteoroids in the mid ground outside the window and the galaxy along the galactic plane in the distance.

Also did a layered galaxy test for outside the window. Its hard to say whether I need to make it higher res as I wont have the position and angle correct until the scene has been pulled together. Here it is now anyways. I have a feeling I want it to look more epic somehow!

Here is a blockout of my scene and a rough idea of the 3 shots i'm going for.
That's a nice blockout dude. The symmetry works really well.
Edit: one question, what software are you using to sculpt the throne?
@william21984 haha arnt we all?
@THA its all hard surface work in 3ds max bro. No sculpting.
Its looking great, keep up the good work!
@polytom: yeah it works well in the blockout luckily but im going to need to think of things to break the symmetry up a little i think but i will cross that bridge when i get to it haha.
@dustykhan: haha yeah me to. alot of people at work said the same thing. i suppose its because of the wires and the big disk shape where the head will go.
Here is the high poly for the emperors walkway at the top of the stairs. The chair will be seated on the round part at the front overlooking the room. I understand it would be tricky to walk on like this but the shapes are exaggerated to get better bakes. Itl all be baked onto much flatter more walkable planes.
Next Flags! need to break up the hard surface grind lol.
Floor panel sections. 1 with floor light in and one without.
Also trying out render style for the final shots. Not sure about the chromeab
thx man I need to make a real good setup for the finals probs using keyshot maybe. But for these I just rendered them out of max. unless ure talking about the blockout, that was ue4
Loving your workflow.
@MartinH: Its just meee I wish id been in a team. worried I wont finish it all in time to the standard ive got in my head. fingers crossed
Ive baked down all the objects Ive made apart from the throne which still needs work. Holdin back on that one.
Worried its not feeling royal enough. hopefully the flags and wall and column sections add to that feel.
Materials are obviously non existant, ill be doing a material pass once everything is in the scene. Just shiny eu4 shaders at the moment. Lighting is closer to what i want in the final.
Definitely love your progress so far, hopefully my hard-surface could be as well designed as yours!
@Orb: Thanks for the composition critique I will be implementing those words over the next few updates. you have nailed yours and are right i need to find ways to bring the eyes straight to the throne. Revising the lighting will help with this as well i think.
Thanks for all the kind words peeps.
The camera shot is purely for update purposes. there will come a time when i need to think seriously about camera position.
Here is the last FULL SCENE update for a while. I have used the pieces i baked down to create the roof section as well but the next parts of the scene will all use their own unique bakes and such so its hard surface again for a bit. lets say im about 1/4 the way through now.
I know trade secrets and all but could you be wiling to post your model with the wireframe visible...would like to see them if your willing to share.
Keep it up
Looks great though!
.....or the railings are out of scale.
