Hi polycount,

So I'm starting my first complete environment project. I will be posting regulary as i can to get feedback and for help to get me through this journey with hopefully a quality result at the end.

Concept:

Blockout:

Fairly happy that the perspective is close now. Only issue is when you view the scene from the another angle the houses seem a bit close compared to the concept. I do plan to make it as a playable area and seen from more than one angle.

Thank you for any advice in advance :)

@MaccyF thank you for tanking the time to do this its appreciated.

And on that fixed these issues. Its still not perfect but i am going to ignore the small problems with veranda and poles being slightly out of persepective as I am happy with the proportions and I do plan for it have shots from various angles :)

Also if anyone could answer why my viewport suddenly/randomly did the below with the background ? Almost like its offset it but non of the values were changed :s Just made it a little bit more difficult to work as had to render it everytime i wanted to see the results.

I forgot to mention that i am planning on putting this into UE4. Next step i think is starting the modelling so i'll start with the rocks and far house :)

No problem, It's looking pretty good now :)

Also, I have no idea whats with the background, but now you've got your block-out done, I doubt you'll be needing it right there all the time.

It'll be good to see how this project comes along XD

Right, haven't made much progress on this even though it has been a long span of time. Been learning and spent far to long playing with materials to see what i could do with them.

Just a small update :) Hopefully going to have a bit more free time now so i can crack on with this.
