QUIXEL WINTER GAMES OF 2014 - FINAL ROUND HAS STARTED!!
Hi Everybody!
With X-mas coming up and all, we thought it would be the perfect time to give something back to the community who have provieded us with so much invaluable feedback and suggestions!
Therefore I´m proud to announce the "Quixel Winter Games of 2014"!! (Patent pending) All the games are made up by and judged by me as I´m the only one not involved in the actual making any of the tools or contributing anything useful to the development in general!
Every contest will last 24 hours, and much like Judge Dredd I´m the sole judge and jury!
The winner of each contest will receive a full commercial license for the Suite.
"But Eric, everybody in here probably already owns The Suite, what a stupid prize" you might say. But isn´t X-mas about giving? Wouldn´t it feel great to give away a license to one of your friends, or at least pit them against each other and fuel their greed with the promise of free software to feel the power normaly only reserved for Santa Claus?!
This is a place of fun and joy (And unnecessary ruthless judgements - by me) in the spirit of X-mas, so let´s try to keep it classy!
So witout further ado, here comes the first contest:
Contest 1 - If you would give away the Suite for X-mas, what rhyme would you write on the card? UPPDATE - Winner is Platecaptain!
Contest 2 - This one Im very excited about! Upload a thumbnail your favourite self made smart material!! (The thumbnails are stored where you saved the material) And don´t try to fool me with the materials that ship with the program, I know them all like my very own children! UPDATE - Winnder is tach!
Contest 3 - Create a X-mas card with the images below, you may also use any additional images but these ones have to be included:

He/She Came in during the final period and dunked the football in the basket, and it was a slam run! But honestly, everybody did a fantastic job, much better than I could ever have hoped for. So I used Wet Mud material and changed it PRB values to the Gravel's one(so it would appear less shiny/wet), then I had fun with colors, masks and I added a litttle bit of sand on top
The end result is this:

Here's a material I made when learning DDO, it's based on salmon meat! I always like the way it looks so I tried to make a material to match it. Merry Christmas everyone!

This is a gun metal material that revels bare metal using a combination of dynamask curvature and hand painted masks to revel bare metal underneath. Most of the materials detail is handled by curvature wear and large scratches, but by using the dynamask grunge mask feature. Hand painted masks can be used to revel bare metal.
