Not too happy with my progress today. Texturing takes a lot more time than I estimated because I'm not used to flat shaded stuff. Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying the process immensly, but it is painstakingly slow atm because I don't have any kind of workflow for this kind of style...
As you can see on the progress image, the texture comes along. Still don't know what to do with the stomach area and the shoulder pads yet. Nothing I tried so far really matched the rest of the design...
After being swamped with work for the last couple of weeks and getting zero progress done, I finally found the time to work some more on the texture.
It's not finished, but at least I'm happy with the overall progress I achieved in the last couple of hours. There's detail lacking everywhere and the stuff that's there is oftentimes rushed. I wanted to add moss and cracks and lichen and some flowers on the pedestal next to 100 other things, but I'm out of time.
I just handed in what I have. I learned a lot during the process. Many of the competition are doing fantastic work. Keep it up, I'm looking forward to the next contest!
