Thanks again for all the feedback! There are of course still things I could fix, but now I consider this piece done, the .psd files are at this point so large and laggy they're no longer workable, and I'm also sick to death of this project and want to move on.
See you soon!

Good start though.
Update:
Only small tweaks done on the body today, I've blocked out the armor pieces in Maya so they should show up in tomorrows update.
On the body I mostly worked on the hands and I also started to work a bit asymmetrically on the abs.
I've started to retopologize in Maya.
Thanks a lot man
Finished the Low Poly and UV mapping today and also managed to do some quick bakes and threw it in to Marmoset.
Let us see some wires
I will post some wires first thing tomorrow morning!
I am planning on adding hair so the low poly head shouldn't be too much of a problem (I hope)
everything else looks pretty good this I just can not unsee.
I also fixed the edge that seemed to bother you all to no end :P
Haha, well spotted, he was actually one of my references!
I had some fun rigging today, just to pose him for school submission. My first two weeks with this guy is now over so I'll pitch doing the weapons, shield, helm and cape for the next couple of weeks to my teachers.
I've also added hair but as you can see I'm having problems. It's still a pretty rough block in but I don't understand how to fix the problem that arise in closeups at the top of the head (seeing the dark underside of the hairplanes).
The thing that is most off putting imo are the eyes. I would give him a more natural rested eye appearance like this.
basically, have the upper eyelid on the edge of the black pupil part, and the lower eyelid on the edge of the iris.
I've had a feeling something was off with the eyes but couldn't quite put my finger on it, Thanks!
I've blocked out the Basemeshes for the different parts today, should be able to start with the Highpoly tomorrow.
This is where I'm currently at:
I'm doing the "mane" on the helmet tomorrow.
I'll probably revisit this guy in time for the portfolio course and polish him a bit further.
Thank you guys for the feedback
I agree with @Kaine123, some of the textures look a little plain, perhaps a bit too clean. The character's helmet and skin is in fairly pristine condition, yet his shield and cape and quite damaged and dirty. I think the helmet in particular could do with more roughness variation.
It's a nice piece overall, nice proportions, and not excessively toned.
