Suppressed Intratec CAT-9

I'm making an Intratec CAT-9 because I wanted to be cliched and make a Glock but also be a hipster and make an obscure gun. Really it's just a really shoddily made "Saturday Night Special" little pistol. I always really dug little guns with big silencers (thx James Bond) so I slapped on a silencer out of my own head on there.

Heya this looks cool! My first thought was that it's very clean at the moment, I'm not sure if you're just going to add everything during texturing. But perhaps some grip texture on the handle?

First test bake this morning.

Also I'm adding the grippiness on in Photoshop.

There's a bit of waviness on the tip of the silencer there, but otherwise looking good.

The slide doesn't have a metallic feel at the moment.

Take a close look at the top of the groove on the slide in your reference. Notice how sharp the line is between the grooves and the curved portion of the slide (although that might be an artifact of baking a hi-poly model... it's sort of hard to avoid that, then...) The raised portion should be much narrower than the groove; at the moment, they're equal-sized.

Fiddled around with the base values to try to make it look better. Also I added some edge wear.

I'm excited to see it when you've finished the textures. The gun itself isn't exactly the most intricate design, so I feel the best way to make this pop is with the materials. Looking good so far.
