Here are the silhouettes I've been working on today to get an idea of the overall shapes I'm going to incorporate. Constructive feedback would be appreciated
Below is the same silhouettes with some painted detail to show some of the ideas. Again, feedback welcome.
Next I'm going to work on some staff / weapon ideas so I've got the whole concept planned out before I go into sculpting
2 with a mask would be great! I would avoid skulls for your staff since you can't find any on the existing champions (China's no-no). They could be sculpted in wood or stone I guess.
I think 2 works well. When I think witchdoctor I think of crazy mask.
Should have said but any of the designs that don't have a mask I'm thinking of having tribal white and black war-paint on fiddle's face instead. thinking of mixing a mask into 2's design

i think i will incorporate a mask into 2's design since it's seems to be getting the most votes!
Oh really I had no idea about the skulls! I really wanted to do a cow skull staff as well...
Finally some progress on the 3D sculpt! I've had a multitude of computer issues thanks to my unreliable laptop so have fallen behind but (fingers crossed it's fixed(ish) now
As always feedback very much appreciated. Still need to sculpt his scythe weapon which will be my next step while I wait for some constructive crit!
Started the very base polypaint. Mask isn't reading as well as I'd hoped feedback and constructive crit, as always, is much much appreciated and welcome
Well, thanks to some pretty brutal computer problems, it looks like I won't be getting this finished in time for the contest deadline pretty gutting. Computer problems aside, because I'm still fairly new to Zbrush and the high poly > low poly workflow and retopology tools, I fell into a few bad habits and what I've come to learn as "The Dynamesh" trap, instead of working with multiple subdivision levels, which really really REALLY set me back when it came to grabbing the polypaint and finding a work around to even get UV maps working.
All in all, a steep learning curve and as usual I've learned the hard way! Gutted I can't make the entry, but I learned a lot and (hopefully) won't be making the same mistakes again! Now to get my buggy/crashy/unreliable laptop fixed...

Thankya! I think I 'll be going with 2 and getting a mask in there as well as almost everyone I've shown this to has voted 2
Scythe: 4, 5, and 6
Concepts are all looking great though. Looking forward to the 3D.
thanks for the feedback! Yeah I'm looking forward to getting stuck into the sculpt
