[Riot Art Contest] - Darius

Hello! Really excited to get started on this contest, but still have trouble deciding what I whould do with Darius. First I wanted to do a new splash screen for his original skin but still not sure if I want to make a new skin for him which would be really fun, and it also bring in something extra to spend some time on for this!
While I decide and maybe hear what some of you think of it I will just drop this Darius base I sketched up meanwhile!

Here are some sketches done for skins,
still not sure if I should illustrate the original skin, the splash screen for that is pretty old now so would still be fun making that,
well if I would get some feedback on this it would help a lot!
also sketched out two splash screens of Darius with the Lord skin and his original!
Didn't really feel it with the bloodlust one even though it would have been fun!
Tried to get his face more like Darius looks on the splash screens as well!

I do like the skull cane and perspective, pose dynanism etc. I look forward to seeing this progress!

But people are right - its look awesome, but its not Darius.
Maybe u ll try to make him look a little bit "mad" or "agessive"

Just want to say he looks so smooth.. amazing I am loving this. Only remark I might have is he looks a lot like Jayce then Darius... But keep up the goodds work friend
Ye since most seem to think he looks too much like Jayce I'm really trying to avoid it now so removed the white on the sides of the face and hopefully the darker suit and shading helps bring more of Darius now!

Jelligeth - Thanks, I will give it a go and make the hands bigger and see how it looks!
There's something off about his eyes.
I think they're simply too big.
You might also want to add a grey line of hair
and I'd really recommend drawing his other fingers on the cup.
If you want to let him hold a cup with just two fingers, why not go for an espresso ?
You could also try letting him show some teeth. This might make him look a bit more menacing then just this large grin...maybe also make his eyebrows thicker.

Ye I have been struggling with the yes and I tried making them smaller at one point and that also looked weird but I will give it another go!
I did have the grey hairline in the begging of the sketches, but as everyone said, the skin reminds a lot of jayce skin so wanted to avoid any more resemblance with that.
Will also look over fingers on the cup and maybe do something else about it, I really wanted him to have an english cup of tea haha.
The teeth / the smile turned out kinda akward, but you get the idea. ^^
For some reason it makes me think of the mad hatter.
still need to try and get the hand size right in the front hand, a little bigger might be nicer.
But spent most time on getting more detail on the staff and getting the face right!
Hopefully it's going in the right way!
still lots to do and get right colors and light, there is just something I don't like with it at the moment.
Will have to see what I do about it.

Changed some stuff around, the candle thing didn't work so did something else now,
still very unhappy with the direction this took, kinda overworked it and all that, lost a lot of dynamic feeling to it, but its better now at least! Would love to give this another go with another champion if I find the time.
More than a month left, you still have time for a second entry!
