A fairly simple cardboard box model. Modelled in MODO, rendered in Marmoset. Textures from CGTextures.com. I just started learning modelling/texturing properly for games.
I'm looking for advice on my UV layout and textures. I'm not very experienced with super tight UVs. If you have anything you think I should read/watch let me know!
The textures are 800x800 px here but 4096x4096 in the renders. I wanted to keep UV islands at the same scale but realized later that the finer details would be lost in a more reasonable 512x512 or even a 1024x1024 texture. Do you think UVs for the small edges and tape detail should be bigger to allow for more detail?
