I have decided to make a Nami illustration.
I made Jinx fan-art last month and I spent a lot of time and effort into it. Only if I have delayed it a bit longer this would have been my entry(see below). But it's okay, I will try to create a better piece for the contest. Thanks for you time!

Maybe do a few thumbnail sketches of her body closer and her fins going further away?

@Femcharles, I actually had two options:
Face really close and tail is really far that it's almost fading or the other way around. I didn't want to make anything in between, I wanted to learn to work with dynamic perspective and foreshortening. Thanks for the input though!
@AndrenalineAngel, thanks. I was aware that the tail way longer than the actual character, but I also never drew average legs even on humanoid characters. I tend to make them epic-ly long lol.

And I understand about the legs. Mine are generally long as well. It works for your composition.
Adrenaline, I got much faster just recently but I still think I a little slow.

@Lockdevil, I actually have a blue tint layer that I sometimes turn on, I like both versions.
I'm still experimenting with the foreground and stuff, in or out of water etc.

Also, I checked your deviantart and noticed I favorited your Elsa a long time ago!
It always looks different the day after.

Sorry I haven't made much progress since last post. I tried to fix her face because the last version just looked a little weird after not focusing on it for a while.

Sorry I haven't been posting updates, I had to put this on hold because something else came up and I had very little time to draw. I should be back on track later this week.

Thanks @JasperSandner! I put watermark because I try to avoid it being posted like a finished illustration. Couple of my WIP artwork were posted on tumblr/facebook before I even finished them. Watermark will not be visible later on.
Here is the finished version for now, I little mistakes already and may make a a revision or two in the next few days.
