Teabox 2D Improvement Thread
Hello world of Poly count, I just joined this place after stalking it for a few years with a bit of fear and trepidation, I'm hoping I can improve my art skills, if you have time, here's a quick summary of where I'm at:
I'm a 21 year old Games Design student in the UK, I've just started my 4th year and I'm hoping to get into the industry as a concept artist of some description, I'm still slightly undecided on that front, but hopefully I'll have made a decision before Christmas.
I love creating concepts, idea generation etc, etc, my only downfall is my current level of ability, I'm driven, determined and will stop at nothing to eventually get awesome, this is where you guys come in.
Here's a bit of my work from my most recent pieces, I'm hoping you can suggest maybe underlying issues with all of them, or just pick to part individual paintings for improvement, I've read a lot of colour + light books and watched videos, studied anatomy, looked into correct perspective, studied composition, you name it, however, I'm still struggling to get things right (which I appreciate is part of the learning curve). I'll get there eventually, I just need to keep working, I'd'd appreciate your feedback, I wait in anticipation for your responses.(Images are not in order)
Thank you for your time.

another quick piece I did last night
on the Viking picture it seems like a little off perspective like the left shoulder sticks out a little to far for the angle you've got in standing
And his left or our left?
