I don't post here that often, but since I recently finished a series of figures for Mega Man The Board Game, I thougth I might as well drop by. Mega Man is and has been one of my favorite game characters since the NES days. I used to have sleep overs with my friends where we'd play Mega Man 2-5 until the wee ours of the night. This little robot is a big part of why I got into games, but playing and making them. I got lots of love for the character and find it quite sad that Capcom is not doing much with him right now... at least we got him in Smash Bros. now I guess.
Anyways I have tons of images from recent projects so lets start with the family snapshot:
And I had the honor of making all 8 variations of Rock for production:
Here's a video for the posing process for these little guys:
Thanks Rion411, I think the board game will be worth getting for any Mega Man fan for sure. Maybe the figures will become available stand alone at some point too, if Capcom allows I supose.
I've been working for Mierce Miniatures this year. Their traditional sculpts and sculptors are amazing, so it was great to be part of their projects.
The first pieces I made for them were these snake ladies for the Gorgonare Unit:
And more recently I completed this Legionary Unit for Darklands:
I'm surprised this thread doesn't have more attention, there is some beautiful work here! The prints came out very nice as well. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of printer do you get to work with?
Thanks NegevPro, the printing side of things isn't something I'm involved enough with at the moment. I've worked with many clients by now and they've all used many vendors with varying results, some decent and some excellent. For my personal stuff I've only worked with moddler.com and they used a Perfactory Mini 3d printer, not sure if that's a descriptive enough name, but it's what they called it. The prints came out great with them and I'll probably go to them again when I need a print for myself.
This was a piece I made for Nocturna Models, our take on Maleficent for their Fairy Tale Girls series. The paint job was done by Jesus Martin Gallego of Nocturna.
I probably will pick up the MM board game when it comes out. Loving the all of the Mierce units and Nocturne chick as well, very nicely detailed characters. Fun stuff!
