Hey everyone heres my ref page im trying to make a "royal" dane axe. I want to use some nice finished dark wood with engravings, and etching on the blade with nordic symbols. Ill start on a block out tonight and hopefully by tomorrow ill post it.

I finally got around to finishing my concept let me know what you think. Im also working on the blockout right now ill post that soon.

Might make the point where the axe head meets the handle a bit thicker. It looks like it may snap after a handful of whacks.

ehhh, if it's made of forged and tempered steel, it's not going to snap... unless you drive a quarry truck over it, and no one wants to whack your axe, they want to whack you. (that doesn't sound right for some reason >_> )

The hammer end of the axe looks a little small though. Maybe turn it into a longer, thin armour piercing spike?
