Trouble With UV on Cylinder style mesh

I'm having trouble with my UV's on one of my models. I've tried cylindrical map and planar but i can't seem to get it to stay flat.

It's relaxed to prevent distortion or stretching, you can straighten the UVs to make it align with the mesh better, either option is fine and they both have their own pros and cons. It's talked about on this thread http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=134749
