I baked a world space normal map, converted it to a object space with handplane.
Then I added stuff with nDo, now i would like to go on with Substane Designer and Substance Painter, for which i would need an "updated" worldspace normal map out of the changed nDo one.
Should i convert it to a bump map, then rerender in max?
Google isnt helping much, thx!

Object and world space maps are generally the same because the maps usually get baked to an object with no transforms on it (i.e. it's not rotated off the world axes). Meaning there's no difference in direction.
I'm assuming you mean from tangent space to object space? If so, xNormal has options for that, assuming you have a plugin that matches the tangent basis used for the tangent space map.
Now i need to reconvert that tangent space to a worldspace for use in SD.
Sry for mixing things up.
Yes, xNormal seems to work, never saw that option, thanks for the quick reply!
then add a world space normal baker and add the tangent space nromal map there. awesome!
went the substance road though...
