i need help regarding the normal map. I am using xnormal, swizle adjusted to 3ds, exports in -.obj format. Manualy created cage, tangent space. Everything i can remember according to guides and this is what i get. Any idea ?
3ds can have a tendency to completely screw up normals and not show it in max.
Export your obj from Max, reimport into max. add edit normals modifier and see if they are correct.
If not make a box, edit poly> attach your obj to it, then delete the box. That should reset the normals.
Lol i remember unifing normals with my meshes, everything looking fine. I follow Badcog advice and reimport, every normal looking oposite direction. Just facepalmed myself, problem solved.
