So mine and JohnM3D's entry is to create a diorama that has a theme of a frozen wasteland. Think Metro fallout but covered in snow and ice. We plan to show our character in the middle of the battle driving a buggy in mid action.
Here's some of my main reference images for the character that I will be creating. I plan to create a female waste lander style but merge it with snowboard/skiing clothing as well to help emphasise the environment of the scene.
I've also added a very (very) basic paint over to demonstrate the sort of style I'm aiming towards.

so I plan on making a vehicle, A dune type buggy vehicle. looking at a vehicle kinda like Mad Max I guess, but I wanna combine a Humvee shape with a Buggy look if that makes sense. heres a moodboard.
Since it's tundra based you could consider Treads like the Trax on Ken blocks car

here is a quick update, ive focused most of my time on the front as you can see, I will now start modeling my way from the front to the back and then go over it all again with some finer detail and touch-ups before the texturing comes around. watcha think ?
