I think it's looking great, but it definitely has a bit of a harmless kind of feeling about it in the 3/4 view. If you're going for that, awesome. Otherwise you could probably lengthen some bits and adjust some curves to make it feel more aggressive.
@ Aesir - I'm a fan of scouting/light armor units in most games I play. Quick and nimble is definitely something I'm interested in. I'll probably add a little more beef to the design though once I start adding in the weapons.
Thanks again guys. I feel like I'm pretty happy with the design and where the plane is at. I think I'm going to take a break on this until I get some progress on the pedestal/character design.
Added the machine guns.
Let me know if there's anything that really bothers you or have any suggestions for changes. I still feel like there's soooooomething missing but I'm not quite sure what.
Did a couple of sketches, tried to find something industrial/war factory kind of feel. Some plate armor to surround the building. It will have some vents/dirigible balloons to keep it floating in the sky. I really liked the vertical designs a bit more.
I second that, I really like the combination of smooth surfaces and hard bevelled edges. What are you thinking of creating to fly this amazing contraption?
I really like the potential look of for your character. The Range Murata, in the lower right might be ideal direction to go along with your fighter. can't wait J.G., g.g. g.j.
Iiiii'm super slow with characters. I've just been kit bashing elements from the reference and hoping my proportions are good. Had a couple of friends take a peak here and there for the base mesh I made. Now I'm adding the medium details.
I've been spending a lot of time checking out Funky Bunnys process videos and checking out artists with other exaggerated facial proportions.
it keeps turning out like this though
Really hoping I can fumble through this like some of the busts I've done in the past and come out with something awesome. haha. If I spend longer than another day on this then I'm just gonna retopo and UV my vehicle and pedestal and revisit the character last.
Something really bothers me about those legs, I think its the fact that the silhouette is just a straight tube. I think you need to work to define the underlying shape of the legs better. I see what you're trying to do in terms of the last exile reference, but I don't think its working out well for you here. The arms have a similar problem but not a severe.
This shows the underlying shape quite well, and also the stance is very, very important. Right now the stance your character is modeled is again, basically just a tube shape for the legs, you need to show the curves of the legs even if the shape itself is mostly tubular.
The shape of the breasts also looks off from the side view, almost as if they were modeled as naked breasts, but they're underneath clothing and would likely have some support so I would expect to see a different silhouette there as well.
The torso seems overly elongated as well, and you seem to be struggling a bit with exactly the body type you want to represent.
You pretty much nailed everything I was unsure about in regards to the body, lol. Thanks man, This feedback really helped me break the tunnel vision. I'll noodle around with it and post the changes later tonight.
Quick update for the body progress. I definitely like this better but I think it still needs work.

Here's a turret instead! I'll probably throw some sandbags on the ropes to weigh it down and add bullet casings around the top.

More refs as you seem to be pulling very heavily from Tatiana: https://www.google.com/search?q=last+exile+pilot&tbm=isch&ei=vWHeU6_JJoquyATK4oC4Ag#q=last+exile+Tatiana&tbm=isch&imgdii=_
