Been using the Quixel Suite for these stylized robot characters. NDO in particular was pretty instrumental in getting all the little grooves and bevels.
A drill case that was lying around my house that I modeled in 3ds Max. Lots of awesome lines and extrusions. Super quick project (especially using the Quixel Suite). :poly122:
Is it possible to hand-paint details? I want to texture an old rusty gas pump like this, what will be the best way to create rust leaking from seams\holes or accumulating at the bottom like here? With the model being mostly flat I can't think of anything I can bake\paint in the normal map except for a few bolts.

Cause i have been trying to use quixel suit for 3 months and its dead in water. it does not work at all. and i have tried EVERY solution in this forum. Quxiel is broken and i wonder are u guys using the old versions and not quixel suite?
Iam on a freshly installed win 8.1, latest ps cc, everything updated.
17 920, 18 gb ram, ssdrive with a Quadro 4000.
Still i cant get the program to work, none of the solutions the quixel forum works for me.
Would be thankful for your replies, you guys who have this software up and running.
I guess I'll post this here too, as I don't see a lot of character work on here. Im using dDo on my realtime Popeye model, for the clothing and for some of the maps in the skin, the fuzz and albedo are hand painted for the skin, everything else is raw dDo

I am having problems with the integration on UE4... The result isnt the same as it is on Quixel 3DO. Is there any guide for that cross-app thing quixel offers, cause I can't make it work.
Not so long ago decided to revisit and be through with textures for model from Quixel Grenade contest. So i just a little bit remodeled it for best look and made a new UV.
Used custom presets and masks. Texture res is 4k.

i wonder how i can import this texture correctly into ue4, the result i way too off from the look inside ddo
